 SABLEFISH  HALIBUT  MUSSELS  OPTIONAL  OYSTERS  CRAB  PRAWNS  SALMON  TUNA  URCHIN
       

BC Halibut Royale

  • 1 cup dry white wine
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 lbs halibut steaks, thawed if necessary
  • 1/4 cup fine dry bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup each sour cream & mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup minced green onion
  • Paprika

    

Combine wine and salt; pour mixture over halibut.  Marinate in refrigerator for at least one hour.  Drain halibut and remove excess moisture with paper towel.  Coat both sides of the fish in bread crumbs, and place in a buttered baking dish.  Combine sour cream, mayo, and green onions; spread mixture over halibut. Sprinkle with paprika and bake at 400 degrees 10 mins per inch of thickness, or until halibut flakes when tested with a fork.  Makes 4 servings
